Rachel's Rally

Frisco ISD held its first annual Rachel's Rally. Rachel was the first student killed in Columbine High School back in 1999. Her legacy has lived on through acts of kindness and compasion. Frisco has adopted her way of thinking and tonight we celebrated her life and her legacy as we listened to her father Darrell Scott speak! Dylan was actually on the field with his Chain Links Club from Staley Middle School. If you look closely, he is actually caring the "I accept Rachel's Challenge" banner. Mike, Megan and I sat in the Boals Elementary section cheering on the kindness shown by so many!! Look at all of those chain links! WOW!!!

Wespy Awards

Ashley and her teams were once again honored for her athletic abilities in Wakeland's own version of ESPN's Espy Awards. Dad & Dylan played in a golf tournament today, but Mom was a part of all of the fun! We actually attended two different banquets, one for Spring Sports - softball (a picture of the softball team all dressed up) and one for Winter Sports - basketball. The event was an amazing afternoon and evening of speeches, awards and dinner.

Kindergarten Program

Where has this year gone?? Megan's first year in Kindergarten is quickly coming to an end. The Kindergarten classed performed a program for the parents on Thursday and then performed again for the school Friday morning. They sang many different songs about all of the things they have learned this year in Kindergarten. They ended the program with a song titled - We are off to 1st Grade. Of course Mom was crying!! :( Our baby is not a baby anymore!!

Wakeland HS Awards Ceremony

We were invited to the Wakeland High School Awards Ceremony because Ashley was to receive some type of academic award. She actually was one of eighteen Freshman at Wakeland High School to recieve all A's for the entire year. She found out last night that for this honor that NO Sophmores recieved it and only 1 Junior. As you can guess her new goal is ALL A's throughout high school. We are very proud of all of her accomplishments both academically and athletically. What a GREAT Freshman year she has had!

Season 5 Soccer Party

Wow!! Megan has been playing soccer for 5 seasons now! We can't believe how far she has come since the 1st season. The party was held at the Deckerts house and the team and siblings enjoyed swimming and ice cream! Of course their favorite part was getting their trophy's!!

Relay for Life

Kristen, Ashley & Dylan all participated in Relay for Life this year with Grace Avenue United Methodist Church. It was my 2nd year and the kids first to participate. Just like last year it was a very moving and emotional evening. Mike & Megan joined us for part of the evening and we enjoyed the night as a family. We will continue participating until a cure has been found!

Sweet & Sassy!!

Megan was invited to her friend Leilani's birthday party at Sweet & Sassy. She LOVED it! They had their hair and nails done, dressed up like pop stars and walked the red carpet. She was in her element!!
