North Texas Junior PGA Championship State Tournament

Dylan began playing in a few Junior Sponsored PGA tournaments last summer and has added a few more to his schedule this summer. Each of those tournaments are 9 holes and he has done relatively well...even placing 2nd in one and 3rd in another. This year they added the 18 hole State Championship for his age group. It was a 2 day 36 hole match. Something completely new to Dylan. Dad was teaching summer school so he had to settle for Mom to be his caddie. I don't think I was the best of help for him, but we both had a wonderful two days and he learned a lot. It has inspired him to want to play and want to play at a higher level. We are all very proud Dylan!

Going Home

Wow, what a busy weekend! We were lucky enough to get back to Katy for a fun filled packed 48 hours. Jamie & Heidi were in from New York and Kathryn and the boys were in from Alabama (we missed you Joe) to spend time with Kimberly & Katelyn, Mama and Papa. We sat and visited, went swimming, of course had dinner at Omars and then had an extra special treat of having old fashioned pictures taken of the eight kids (cousins). They were precious! We had some car difficulites coming home and spent some time on the side of I45, but I used the experience for another photo op! We made it home safely and have so many more memories. There is nothing like spending time with family!!
