I took the kids to the Plano Balloon Festival this evening. We had such a good time. It brought back so many memories of living in Indianola, Iowa and going to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. It also reminded me so much of Grandpa George and Grandma Charlotte. I know that they would love that the kids got to see something like the old festival we used to go to and that they were so much a part of. Megan even wore my old hot air balloon shirt that I got about 30 years ago. I wore it all the time growing up and both Ashley and Megan have worn it and it still looks brand new! Ashley loved the Panda balloon, Dylan loved the dragon and Megan's favorite was the one with all of the animals on it. I just loved being there and hearing the balloons being blown up and watching them take flight. So many wonderful new memories made tonight and so many old memories that I am so thankful to have and be able to share with my kids.
