We ventured away from the cabin for a day and headed to Aspen, CO. In doing so we drove through Independence Pass - Elevation 12, 095 feet. I can't say the drive was easy and some of us in the car were actually very scared driving through the mountains! Ashley took a video of the experience!! However, once atop Independence Pass the view was unimaginable! We walked around, played in the snow and met some really neat people. One group we met were some college kids that were hiking up the mountain and snowboarding back down. They were some neat kids who spent some time talking to us. Ashley & Dylan thought they were really cool and would to have loved to join them for the day!
