WOW!! We were hit with an ice storm late on Monday, January 31st that kept us out of school for 3 days. We were thinking there was a slight possibility that we may go back to school on Friday, but Mother Nature had other plans for us. Thursday evening they called for maybe an inch of snow and we awoke to a beautiful winter wonderland with at least 6 inches of snow on the ground and it continued to fall off and on throughout the day. The kids enjoyed playing in it, but because of such cold temperatures they didn't stay out long. After the past two winters, I think the kids think this is normal for Texas. It has been a great four days with the family!!
