Our last day in Colorado was a busy one! Mike, Ashley & Dylan along with Ashley's team and some parents and siblings took to the water for a day of River Rafting down Clear Creek. The water was cold, but they had an unbelievable time. The river was too high for Megan to take on so she and I went to The Phoenix Mine. We went on a tour of the mine, paned for GOLD and the best part of our adventure were the chipmunks. Megan had fallen in love with chipmunks while we were at the cabin, but they would not come near her. When at the mine, we found a group of spoiled chipmunks that are treated very well and trained to eat out of guests hands. Needless to say, that was the highlight of Megan's vacation. After we all joined back up together, we headed into the town of Idaho Springs and ate lunch at Beau Jo's Pizza. The best Mountain Pies ever!! We treated ourselves to some ice cream and walked the streets of downtown. Such a cute little town with so much character!
