New Year's Eve Party

We rang in the New Year in Stlye. Aunt Kimmie and Nana threw a New Years Eve Party with all the bells and whistles. We ate a ton of wonderful food and drank enough bottled coke, root beer and orange drink to last us until next year. The kids thought that drinking out of the glass bottles was so cool. We watched the Ball Drop, toasted one another and of course we lit some fireworks to ring in the new year. Happy 2008!

The Anton's

Once we left Memphis we headed to Houston, TX to celebrate Christmas with Kristen's family. While in Houston we were lucky enough to have a chance to visit with our friends - the Anton's (Becky, Steven, Tyler & Megan). Becky made a wonderful brunch for us, we caught up on old times and the kids played. It was a wonderful start to our New Years celebration!

On the Field!

Believe it or not after the conclusion of the game we were allowed to go down onto the field. The kids ran around and of course it was a great opportunity to get some more pictures.

The Liberty Bowl

We had a super time at the Liberty Bowl. We watched Mississippi State pull out a 10-3 victory over Central Florida. It was not the most exciting game, but just experiencing the thrill of being in a bowl game was well worth our trip to Memphis. The kids had a wonderful time.

Tailgating!

We found a good place to tailgate before the game. The kids were able to throw the football around for a little bit and the adults were able to sit and visit.

Liberty Bowl Parade

We walked the streets of Memphis for the afternoon and ended up on Beale Sreet for the Liberty Bowl Parade. We had fun watching all of the different bands and seeing the floats. The kids loved when they threw the beads out. Mike and I loved to hear The Famous Maroon Band Perform. Now that brings back some memories!
