Kirby's Visit

Kristen's childhood friend Kirby (Sinclair) Williams and her daughter Bailey came to Dallas and were able to stay a night with us. Kriby & I had a blast catching up and recalling old times. Megan & Bailey were like long lost friends and had such a good time together. They stayed up until about 1:00 talking, playing and laughing. What a great night!! Hope we can get back together soon!!

Parent Night - Softball

The Wakeland Girls Softball team honored their parents before a game. We walked onto the field with the girls and they presented us roses and thanked us for supporting them. What a sweet moment to walk out their with our baby girl!

Texas Bluebonnets

On our way home from Georgetown, we stopped off on the side of the road and took pictures in the beautiful Texas Bluebonnets. There was not a field as big as I had hoped, but we were able to take some wonderful pictures. We talked of Grandma Betty, "Nana Bebby" as the kids called her and how much she loved the bluebonnets. We miss and love you everyday Grandma!!

Wakeland HS Varsity Boys Soccer Team

We took a weekend road trip and drove to Georgetown, TX (outside of Austin) to watch the Wakeland High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team compete for the State 4A Championship! Oh my goodness...what an UNBELIEVABLE game! It was tied 2 to 2 at the end of the game. They went into overtime and our goalie saved a penalty goal kick with 3 minutes to go. Overtime ended with the score remaining 2 to 2. They went to a shootout and our goalie was on fire. Not one of their kicks went in and we made 2. WAKELAND HIGH SCHOOL took home the 4A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY!! Job well done boys and Coach O!!

Dinner is Served!

This was our first official dinner served using Puh and Grandma Betty's dishes with their furniture. I am honored to have these items in our home. I have so many wonderful memories of sitting around this table and eating from these dishes. I am thankful everyday for the time I had with my grandparents. They will forever be a part of me and my family. I hope and pray that the memories will be passed down and new ones made.

Resurrection Buns

My friend Kirby sent me an email with a recipe and a story for Resurrection Buns that teaches the story of Jesus and the Resurrection. This will now become one of our families traditions each Easter morning!
Here is the link if you want to try them next year: http://homeparents.about.com/cs/eastercrafts/a/eastertradition.htm
