Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

Dylan had to read a fantasy book, complete a book report, create a diorama and give an oral report for Reading. He chose to read the book Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. His creativity was put to good use when creating his diorama. He did a WONDERFUL job and made a 100 on the project. His diorama was also put on display in the school for everyone to see!

Staley Soccer

Ashley accomplished her goal this year of making every Staley sports team. She did NOT take after her mom!! She is currently playing soccer for Staley Middle School. She is #20! She has started in the two games they have played so far and seems to be enjoying it.

Guitar Hero

Well, the Easter Bunny didn't bring Guitar Hero to Ashley, but two days later Ashley walked in the door with it. She and Daddy struck up some kind of deal!! :) We have all tried our hand at becoming rock stars, but we are far from taking the stage! Ashley LOVES it and is becoming quite good! Maybe next time you are in town, she can put on a concert for you!

A Day of Relaxation!

The remainder of Easter Sunday was spent resting and playing outside. The kids had a great time throwing the ball around. Ashley and Dylan tried to teach Megan how to actually catch a ball. It was funny! We went to our favorite Family Sports Bar & Grill that evening to watch Mississippi State play in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. They ended up losing that night to Memphis!

Easter Dinner

After church we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter dinner. Aunt Crystal and Joel were in town for the holiday as well. We had a wonderful dinner and good conversation. While we were there, Dylan found dads old trumpet and moms old flute and the kids had a blast trying to play the instruments. Dylan really liked the trumpet and actually brought it home and has been trying to teach himself (with the help of the internet) how to play. He is sounding very good these days. It brought back a lot of memories and it was neat watching the kids try to play.

Easter Morning

We all got up and got ready for church before hunting for the eggs this year. Of course it was another cold Easter morning. It never seems to fail! The kids had fun looking to see what the bunny brought them in their Easter baskets and of course had fun hunting for the eggs. It has turned into quite the competition around our house.

Dying Easter Eggs

We had so much fun dying and decorating our Easter Eggs this year. We stuck with tradition in each of the kids getting their own dozen and Mike and I shared a dozen. Mike was up to his usual tricks of putting the eggs in his mouth and pretending to drink the dye. The kids laugh at him every year like they have never seen it before. It is cute! Dylan made Star Wars Eggs this year, Ashley thought if she made a Guitar Hero Egg that maybe the bunny would actually bring that for her Easter Basket and Megan loved putting stickers on her eggs. Papa taught me well and I have passed on the tradition of the Ugly Egg. Of course Kristen's ugly egg is always the prettiest egg of the bunch.

Frisco Rough Riders Egg-stravaganza

We spent Saturday afternoon at the Frisco Rough Riders Baseball Stadium. They had another Easter Egg Hunt, Batting Stations for the kids, lunch and tours of the locker-rooms. Aunt Crystal and Joel spent the afternoon with us.

Easter Build-A-Bear

Build-A-Bear is becoming a holiday tradtion around our house. We missed the St. Patrick's Day Bear, but Megan was still able to make the Easter Bunny. She named her Rainbow!

Sandcastle Easter Egg Hunt

Megan stayed home the week of Spring Break, but we went up to her school on Good Friday for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. She was very excited to see her friends and had a great time hunting eggs. She was most excited that she got to go to school in "real" clothes and not her uniform.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We spent the evening of St. Patrick's Day at La Hacienda Ranch. It is our favorite Mexican Restaurant in Frisco. While we waited for our table the kids all played on the horses outside the restaurant and the adults spent some quality time catching up. The weather was great and it was a lot of fun relaxing outside. The picture of the kids looking in the window was them watching the tortilla's being made.
