Subdivision Luau Party

Our subdivision had a kick-off to summer Luau. Mike and the kids spent all afternoon at the pool and had a blast. I joined in for a couple of hours. There was lots of swimming, playing with hula-hoops & beach balls, dancing and singing and of course food. A relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. BRING ON SUMMER!! Megan had so much fun with the hula-hoop that Mike went to Target and bought her one of her own. She has not stopped practicing all day and she has gotten really good!

Staley Award's Night

We received an invitation in the mail that Ashley was being honored with an award during the Staley MS Awards banquet. We were very happy that she received an award for Yearbook. She worked so hard on this and did an unbelievable job! She was also awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence. She received a certificate and letter signed by President Obama. She received this in 5th grade and will have one more chance to earn it her Senior Year in HS. We are very proud of all of her hard work and dedication to all she does. The pictures I took in the ceremony did not come out, so I had to take pictures outside! :(

Kindergarten Orientation

Well, Megan attended her first official event at Boals Elementary. :) Parents had a meeting with the Administration & Kinder. Staff while all of the soon to be Kindergartners met each other and watched a movie. Before attending the meeting, Megan & I met our friends Carrie & Connor for dinner at Chick-fil-A. Megan & Connor both attended Sandcastle and will now be at Boals together. Can't wait for her to be at school with me!

A Trip Home

We headed home to Katy, TX from May 23rd-26th. It was a bitter-sweet visit as we went home to visit with Grandma Betty. She was diagnosed with Leukemia in mid-March and is sadly not doing very well at all. In saying this, we had the most wonderful visits with her and could not be more thankful for the time spent together. We were also blessed in the fact that both Kathryn & the boys were there from AL & Jamie & Heidi from NY. Kimberly had some time off as did Mama & Papa for the Memorial Day Holiday. It was a memorable trip that I will not ever forget. Family means the world to me and I love my family more than they will ever know.

Megan's Pre-K Graduation

Where has the time gone? Megan graduated from Sandcastle Private School this evening. Megan began Sandcastle when she was 11 months old. The years she has spent at there have been some of the most memorable. She has had super administration, fabulous teachers and made some lasting friendships with some great kiddos. We will all miss the school!
Graduation was adorable! Megan looked so big and acted so grown-up. At the end of the service Megan was presented with this years class book as the Graduate who has been at the school for the longest time. Of course Mom cried! Thanks for the MEMORIES!!

Mary Jo's Birthday Party!

After leaving Megan's soccer party I headed out to dinner with a group of friends to help celebrate my wonderful friend Mary Jo Sullivan's Birthday. We had a delicious dinner at Maggiano's and great conversation. A fun night!

Megan's Soccer Party

Megan's End of the Season Soccer Party was held at the twins home-her team-mates- Ashley & Sydney. The kids had a wonderful time swimming in the pool, eating yummy hamburgers & hot dogs and enjoying some "Trophy" Cupcakes! We ended the party with an unbelievable video of the girls throughout the season and of course the Trophy Presentation. Megan loves the Dragonflies and loves Coach Todd. Thanks for another undefeated and unbelievable season. See you in the Fall!
