Grace Avenue UMC Chili Challenge

Well, Mike entered his famous chili into the Grace Avenue Chili Challenge for the 2nd year in a row. This year he even spiced it up a bit!! Dylan was in charge of the campaign and made posters saying Mac's Chili Attack. He had an X-Wing shooting jalapeno's! Too cute!! They didn't win, but they sure had a BLAST together!!

Multicultural Night

Boals Elementary holds a night called Multicultural Night once a year. It has become such a fun and educational evening. Mom, Dylan and Megan enjoyed the night learning about traditions and cultures of other countries. We had many interesting foods, the kids played some fun games and made some neat crafts.

Justin Bieber Movie

We ventured out after church this morning and headed to the movie Never Say Never about Justin Bieber. I have to admit...we all loved it! Megan was in love with Justin by the end of the movie. Her Daddy went out and bought her a Justin Bieber shirt. She is in heaven!!

UIL Solo Competition

Dylan played The March - Suite #5 by Henry Purcell on his trumpet during his UIL solo competition. He was very nervous, but did really well and scored a 1...the BEST you can be awarded!! We are so PROUD of you Dylan!!

Megan's 1st Soccer Game

Spring season of soccer is once again upon us. Megan's team is together for another season, but they have updated their "look" with new uniforms. They traded in the pink & purple for red & blue and Megan traded in her old #3 for her favorite #23. It is amazing how the new uniforms make them look so much older! They won their first game and Megan scored three goals...one of those being the first of the season!! Here is to another great season Dragonflies!!

Daddy-Daughter Dance 2011

February brings about that special time of year for a Daddy and his daughter and as always Megan and Daddy headed out to the dance for a night in Hollywood!! They had a wonderful evening at the dance and afterwards, we actually had a special surprise for all of the kids this year. Each year the dance is held at the Frisco Convention Center that is attached to the Embassy Suites. So as a special Valentine's day gift for all of the kids we stayed at the hotel for a night of fun. We ordered pizza, picked up dessert from Cheesecake Factory and of course went swimming. It was a wonderful family night and a special way to celebrate Valentine's Day!!
