Megan's Ear Piercing

We had promised Megan that next time Aunt Kimmie came to visit we would let her get her ears pierced. We spent the day at the mall and took her to Libby Lu to get them pierced. She went through with it and they did a great job with her! She loves her earings and thinks she is a big girl like Ashley now! Aunt Kimmie bought her a big iced cookie when she was done.

Megan's Best Game Yet!

Megan had a soccer game today and she played AWESOME! It was her best game ever. I think she was trying to impress Aunt Kimmie. We were very proud of her.

Ashley's Last Track Meet

Here are some pictures of Ashley throwing the discuss in her last Staley Track Meet. She threw her best today at 53 feet, 9 inches and finished 6th overall. She missed qualifying for District by two people and about two feet! She really liked throwing the discuss! It was a fun meet because two of her softball teammates and friends - Taylor ("T") and Baylee ("Beans") also competed at Staley.

Texas Rangers Home Opener

Mike decided last year that he was going to take Dylan to a Rangers Game this year. A memory that every dad hopes to share with his son. He picked Dylan up from school about 10:30 and they headed to Arlington for the Rangers home opener against the Baltimore Orioles. Little did they know that when they left that morning that it would end up being a day that neither of them will ever forget. As Dylan has put it - IT IS THE BEST DAY EVER!!! Long story short, they were given tickets by an officer that was on duty outside the ballpark. The seats were in the 4th row behind home plate. WOW!! Dylan was thrown a ball from a ball boy on the field and sitting two rows in front of Mike and Dylan was Nolan Ryan. After locating a pen and a little bit of timing and luck Dylan went and spoke with Nolan Ryan and he signed his baseball. If you look closely in the 4th picture you can see Dylan standing in front of Nolan Ryan while he is signing the ball. Dylan's feet have not touched the ground since the ball was signed. We are now trying to find the perfect case to hold such a special memory!

Staley Track Meet

Of course Ashley had to add track and field to her resume. She is currently running the 300 Meter Hurdles and throwing Discuss. The field events were cancelled this past week due to weather so I hope to get some discuss pictures at the next meet.
