Megan's 2nd Season of Soccer!

Megan began her 2nd season of Soccer tonight and let me tell you what a difference from last season. The shy little girl that started soccer last fall is gone. Megan could not wait to get to practice this year and she had a blast. She returned to her same team - The Dragonflys!

First Day of School!

Where did the summer go?? Well, it is back to school for all of us. Ashley is in 8th grade at Staley Middle School, Dylan is in 5th grade at Boals Elementary and Megan is attending a year of Private Kindergarten at her daycare - Sandcastle. I am starting my 6th year at Boals and my second year of teaching 4th grade! Even though none of us would admit it - I think we are all ready to get back to a regular routine.

Garage Project

After five years of living in this house we decided we needed to do something about our storage issues in the garage. Mike took on a huge project of building four large shelves and a special unit to hold all of our outdoor household tools. Grandpa, Ashley, Dylan and Megan all did their part to complete them. The garage has never been so organized. MOM is HAPPY!!

WOW - What a Vacation!

Ashley and the '95 Texas Elite Softball Team qualified for ASA Nationals in Montgomery, AL. This week became our family vacation and what a week we had! During this time we met Evander Holyfield (he was staying at our hotel!), attended a great opening ceremony, had a blast at the after party, watched some unbelievable softball, visited Aunt Kate, Uncle Joe and all the boys, went to the Rosa Parks Museum, relaxed on the rooftop pool, had some wonderful dinners with friends and teammates and made some lasting memories along the way. What more could you ask for! I took a lot of pictures - too many to post on the website, but enough so you can get an idea of what we did. I had good intentions of putting them in some sort of order, but I am not sure if it will work out that way. We will see!!

ASA Nationals - Montgomery, AL

The '95 Texas Elite participated, competed and finished 25th out of 70 teams at the ASA National Tournament in Montgomery, AL.

Ashley Renee McDonald - #12

Ashley #12 played in her first ASA Nationals ever. She had a wonderful time on and off the field. She made some great plays in the field and put down some wonderful bunts. She played against some unbelievable teams and learned so much from this experience. We can't wait to see what the future holds for her! We couldn't have been more proud!
